Paving involves heat, weight, and moving equipment. We take that seriously — for our crews, for our customers, and for the public sharing the site with us.
Every parking-lot and roadway job starts with a documented traffic-control plan: cones, signage, flagging, and phased work zones so drivers, pedestrians, and delivery vehicles have a safe path around the crew.
High-visibility clothing, hard hats where overhead work applies, safety-toe boots, hearing protection around compaction equipment, and respirators when hot-mix or coal-tar sealer conditions require them.
Hot-mix asphalt and DuraCrack® hot-pour sealant are handled at manufacturer-specified temperatures. We follow manufacturer procedures for temperature control, kettle safety, and burn prevention.
GemSeal PolyTar® is handled per manufacturer SDS: nitrile gloves, eye protection, and no smoking around uncured material. SDS sheets are available on request for any material we bring to your site.
Fresh sealcoat and paint stripes are barricaded until dry-to-traffic. Signage tells customers, tenants, and residents when they can drive on it. We don't leave a lot open before it's ready.
Every commercial job includes a site walk: overhead hazards, sub-grade conditions, drainage points, and any special customer requirements (school hours, church schedules, hospital access) get planned before mobilization.
SDS & Manufacturer Guidance
We use only industrially-produced materials with published Safety Data Sheets from established manufacturers. Any SDS is available on request before we mobilize.
